Por orden ejecutiva, Franklin D. Roosevelt crea la Administración de Electrificación Rural (REA). El Congreso de los Estados Unidos aprueba la financiación de las cooperativas eléctricas rurales.

Now over 36,000 members strong, URECC is a leader in the State of Texas while continuing to bring East Texas rural citizens reliable, diversified, affordable electricity.
